The Rushmore Report: This Man Is the Democrats’ Worst Nightmare

In this most unpredictable year in politics, there is one person the Democratic Party fears the most. I’m not talking about Donald Trump. I’m talking about a man who could turn the entire political landscape upside down. This man can singlehandedly establish Republicans as the majority party in America for the next 20 years. So who is this person – the man Democrats fear most?

His name is Darryl Glenn, a retired Air force Lt. Col. He is an African-American, a fiscal conservative, and a huge proponent of national security. And he is running for the United States Senate in the state of Colorado.

Glenn is the only non-incumbent, grassroots conservative who has won the Republican nomination for U.S. Senate this year, and he did it without any help from the GOP establishment in Washington.

And the Democrats are terrified of him. He threatens the career of incumbent Democratic Sen. Michael Bennett. He threatens the status-quo. And he threatens the Democratic talking points about how black Americans are unimportant to all Republicans.

We’ve all heard it. “How can any minority possibly support Donald Trump?”

Never mind the fact that black unemployment is through the roof, black-on-black crime is at record numbers, more blacks are in poverty and on food stamps than ever, and inner cities, all under Democratic rule, are crumbling everywhere.

We’ve all heard it. “The Republican Party is a bunch of angry white guys.”

Tell that to a pretty good line-up of black Republicans: Condoleezza Rice, Dr. Ben Carson, Herman Cain, Tom Sowell, Clarence Thomas, Colin Powell, Sen. Tim Scott, Allen West, Shaquille O’Neal, James Earl Jones, Walter Williams, LL Cool J, Herschel Walker, Larry Elder, Don King, Alan Keyes, Karl Malone, J. C. Watts, and Armstrong Williams.

Col. Glenn is rising in the polls. If he wins Colorado, it is likely the Republicans will hold the Senate, possibly by a single vote. Glenn is highly articulate, patriotic, and – gasp! – a conservative African American. Could a second African-American Republican join Tim Scott in the United States Senate? Yes – and he could become the new face of the Republican Party – and that makes Lt. Col. Darryl Glenn the worst nightmare for the Democratic Party.
