A study by Purdue University found that people who practice their religion regularly develop only half as many medical problems as unbelievers. “We have recently completed a systematic review of over 1,200 studies on the effects of religion on health,” the study concluded. “The vast majority of these studies show a relationship between greater religious involvement and better mental and physical health, and lower use of health services.”
